Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

I ran in the Shelley Spud Run Half Marathon on a beautiful morning!  Craig Hudman is the RD and does a great job on this small race.  1M warmup then into the race. I ran solo for the whole race so this was mostly a MP tempo run.  Good hill in miles 5 and 6, gravel road in my 7, headwind in mile 11 plus loss of focus on keeping my pace solid on this nearly pancake flat course.  Cruised in for the win, racing the top 5K guys as I came back into town helped with the motivation so I sped up for the last 0.5 mile or so.  Fun time this morning, wish I would have stayed more focused to run closer to 6:00 AP.  Ran a bit of a cool down (2M) and some (1M) with Saige.

Splits: 5:56, 6:02, 6:02, 6:04, 6:15, 6:16, 6:06, 6:10, 6:05, 6:09, 6:18, 6:10, 0:22 (0.1). (Fastwitch Red)
