Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de stress.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Support my wife's endeavor to do long distance road biking and her renewed interest in running! Keep biking more with her as cross training maybe do a Century ride.

Personal:

Born in 1968.  I live in Idaho Falls, ID.  I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired.

Married for 25+ years with two children (19 and 16).

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;
answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

11 miles in 1:22 on a nice morning with Curt.  We ran down through SRL to Broadway and back to our neighborhood.  I dropped Curt off and did another 3 miles through the neighborhood to get home before my wife had to leave for spinnning class.

I will soon have a new running partner...our new 5 month old spaniel/collie mix named Moxie.  We finally gave in to our kids pleading for a dog and got a sweet dog from the Humane Society (a pound rescue).  We surprised the kids yesterday and picked her up and had her at home when the kids got home.  She is already part of the family...and house and crate trained already (well, at least mostly...we are learning her timing and missed this morning but now have a better idea).

I'm excited for your kids. Hopefully Moxie will be a great fit for your family.

My border collie "Nelle" used to be my best running partner ever. But now she is getting old and can't keep up with me any more. She's only good for about 4 miles these days.

That is awesome Jeff. I have had dogs all my life. They can be great! Our two golden retrievers add a great deal of excitement and joy to our family. Good luck...... you will need it.lol

Congrats on the dog. Just don't run her into the ground before she's ready, Mr. 6-min miles!
