Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;
answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

6 easy miles early with Curt in 47:20 on a beautiful morning for a run.  Last real run before the marathon, feeling good right now.  It was a nice easy run with great conversation, thanks for the company Curt!

Left for camping tonight, pulled into camp at 9:15 and found out that the campsite I thought we had was in fact taken.  Camp host was great and had us pull up to the group site for the night.

Good luck with the race Jeff. Just go out and get some good MOJO to bring down to STG... you know feel good, have fun, and pig out after the race at some kind of BBQ.

Thanks, guys! I did this same thing last year (Mesa full, Poky half) as training runs for STGM and felt good (except the heat at STGM sucked). We are camping this weekend (last weekend before school starts) right on the course which should be fun. Relax and do some grillin' in the outdoors after the race!!

Saucony AMPro compression socks do they work? I've heard good things about them and the CEP compression socks. I was thinking about getting some for the Poky Half next week.

GOOD LUCK at Mesa Falls!

From Neil on Fri, Aug 26, 2011 at 13:43:54 from

Good luck Jeff. Gotta run Mesa Falls again, if only to have an excuse to camp and fish in Yellowstone/IP area.
