Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

6M early and easy through Snake River Parkway and back home, pretty standard.  My back is a bit stiff again today...ugh.  (Trigon)

Off on a quick business trip (to Detroit...woohoo!) for some meetings.  Hope to get a few good runs in there.

Long day of travel as our direct flight from SLC was cancelled and were rerouted through Minneapolis.  Got to the hotel, had a couple of beers then dinner with coworker.  Got out for a run around 9pm at dusk for an easy 6M on usual route.  Saw tons of fireflies which is something I have not really seen before (at least like this!).  (Ride)

Have fun in Detroit. Running for your life is a good way to get speed work in.

Hey Detroit's not that bad!! I live in Windsor just south of Detroit, yes a place in Canada that is south of a US city. Little bit of a hassel to cross the border just for a run but if the time worked out I would be glad to run with you. My wife and 2 of my kids are off to Naples Florida tomorrow otherwise I could have joined you for a run over there but seeing I am the only Chiropractor when she is gone I have to man the fort. Sounds like you could have used a Chiropractor!!

I ran 121:52 for the half just over a week ago, I felt strong and maybe left at least a minute out there but that is easier said now then during the race. Regardless sub 3 is looking better all the time.

Have fun in Detroit, I am sure when you ask around you will find some nice places to run. The marathon is fantastic in October.

Thanks Todd, next time I come to town I will let you know. We actually stay out in Romulus near the airport and drive to Warren for meetings. Be safe on your trip and maybe see you next time I am in town.

Great job on the HM, that is an awesome time!

Thanks, would love the chance to run with you someday.

The half has bumped the confidence up another notch, I know now that I can shoot for a 125 this fall at half and then hang on or even negative split on a perfect day.

To be determined!!! I am running Scotia in Toronto, how about you?

Have a good week
