Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

After sleeping in a bit this morning, I got out for a nice 7M easy paced run down Sunnyside.  First 3M were 7:45-7:09, then I ran the last 4M under 7:00 pace, averaging about a 6:45.  Good run and a nice week of tapering.  Tomorrow get in between 8-15M depending on time, running partners and family commitments.

Picking up our new camp trailer today and getting it ready for a camping trip tomorrow, most likely out at Craters of the Moon for its maiden voyage with our family.

Have fun camping and make sure you get a lot sleep and relax. You've got a big event next week. What type of Camp Trailer did you buy? I really want to get one for our family.

I got up at 5am this morning and did my long run, and the Temps are starting to drop. Good luck tomorrow.

We bought a 20 foot Hideout by Keystone. Really nice inside and a good size for our family and my half ton pickup can pull it no problem.

Sounds like fun with the camp trailer. Good luck on the upcoming race. I've been a little stressed we are closing on a new house the first of next week so we are working to box everything up and still not over do it, this close to the marathon.

Have fun camping and relaxing. TCM is right around the bend. You'll enjoy that race and might make it an annual thing!

Enjoy the camping trip with the family. Sounds like a very nice trailer. Hope everything goes smoothly as you fine tune for your race.
