Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

Nice and easy 13.25M run on a beautiful morning (this is awesome weather for runners!) with McKay and Lynette.  Nothing special, just nice and consistent with good conversation.  I actually felt really good this morning after yesterday's long hard run so it was great to get this run in and having it feel so easy.

I may try to get back out this afternoon when the kids have a playdate and Kami is visiting with a friend for another 6M+ to get my first 100 mile week.

Total time: 1:45:02  Stratos 2 - 172 miles

6.25M in the early afternoon with Lynette who wanted to go back out and finish off a long day (19M for her!).  100M+ for the first time ever, a new mileage high for me!

Total time: 45:26  (Stratos 1 - 160 miles)

It looks like 100 is going to fall for a lot of people this week, great week.

I thought you were opposed to 100 mile weeks!

It might take me until I'm 40 to run my first 100 mile week too! Good training my friend.

Nice work Jeff. It feels good when you see the three digits for the first time. Very strong week of running. I wish I could have ran with you guys yesterday.

I was in Idaho Falls today at the Soccer Complex on Old Butte Rd. at

Thanks guys! It was a great week of running during a time of sorrow, so the running was some good therapy.

Jon, I was never against 100M weeks, just never saw how I would have the time and/or energy to get it done.

James, you will have many 100M weeks by the time you are 40!

Kory, yeah we missed you yesterday, wish you could have been there!

Bob, I am on my third cold one as I type..I love this type of carbo loading!

Great training, Jeff. You're looking very good as marathon season is upon us.

Congrats my friend on the 100-mile week. I was stoked about my first 100-mile month a few months back :).
