Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy stress.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Support my wife's endeavor to do long distance road biking and her renewed interest in running! Keep biking more with her as cross training maybe do a Century ride.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;
answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

8M on the TM at the gym.   It was warmer outside this morning, but windy and still very slick so I decided to stay in to get in some last speed work before the race.  1M w/u (6:40) the 6M between 5:33 - 6:25 pace (most between 5:56-6:07) which felt pretty easy.  1M c/d to end the run for the day.  Feeling pretty good and rested right now, no real taper madness just excitement for the race and the vacation in the warm weather.

Nice run and great speed training workout. I fine it easier to run at faster speeds on the treadmill even with the incline raised. I guess it's do to the no wind factor, and you're being pulled a little.

Oh well, it's a good work out when you can't run outside, and you sweat more.

Your ready and your going to get a great time. But most important have fun with the family and let the race be fun.
