Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

My quads are still really sore from Tuesday's tempo workout.  I got up a bit late and had to be back early so Kami could get to work so I only ran 4M in a light snow in 34:44...ouch!  I will try to go longer at lunchtime today.  (Tornado)

8.1M in 59:30 on a day that was actually better than it looked.  When I first started, it was snowing, overcast and windy, but the temperature wasn't too bad.  After a while, the snow let up and the sun actually came out at the end of the run.  My quads were still burning at the start of the run but feel much better now afterwards.

Good job so far this week Jeff. I was just looking over your race plans this year. I've thought about doing the Missoula marathon. Looks like a winnable race. Plus you should come to STG for sure in Oct. Then when you do the rim-to-rim-to-rim-to-rim I want in for sure.

Thanks, your running this week is awesome as well!

Missoula is at best 50/50 for me right now. Dan S ran it last year and BQ'd and said it was nice.

R2R2R sounds like a blast. Jon Allen is the one talking me into it...could be a fun group of guys to do that adventure with. Let's keep it on the agenda.

SGM is possible, I would love to try and break 2:30 there. I will probably see if I can get a comp, then I just need to find a place to stay my me and the family(my normal places show they are already full!).

Have fun with the relay.

Yeah, I'm thinking we can do R2R2R sometime late Oct/early Nov. Good weather still, and the roads are still open.

Jeff if you come to STG your welcome to say with us anytime... not just to come race.

Thanks, Clyde! We might take you up on that soon!
