Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

6M early and easy this morning. Cool (31 degrees) and windy but otherwise ok. The run was good, I felt like the effort was easy and the form (especially the toe off) was pretty good for 4:30 in the morning. Luck must be with me as 10 minutes after I got home, the weather turned and precipitation started. On my way to work it was coming down hard with heavy, sticky snow! (T3)

It was still a blizzard outside at lunchtime, so I opted for the TM at the gym for a fast MP workout. 0.5M at 6:30ish, 4M at an avg. 5:45 pace, then 0.5M cooldown at 6:22 pace. Overall an easy 5:53 pace which felt super easy...good workout. (T2)

Having friends over tonight for pizza, beer and movies in preparation for Boston...watching my Boston 2006 DVD then "St. Ralph".

Wow, still winter over there, ha? We're already getting to spring, though it's been rainy the past few days. Looks like you're ready for Boston!

Amazing, it was sunny 50 and nearly no wind here, but we are suppose to get our share Sat. night. Pizza and beer? So that's why you run so fast!! ;)

You bet! If I can't enjoy things in life...like a good beer...what am I running for?

Let's pray for your current weather in 2 weeks in Boston! (Knock on wood, throw salt over shoulder, etc. whatever so we have good running conditions!).

Amen to both!!

ha ha ha ... now that is a Boston prep that I can understand. You play as you practice Jeff.
