Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

6M early on a nice morning, 50 degrees and no wind.   Nice and easy, legs heavy again...I can definitely tell I am in recovery mode.  Hard to get up and out the door but I always feel better after a run.  (Trigon)

5M run at lunch on a nice day in 37:15.  Nothing special, inside of quads a bit sore today but nothing to worry about.  (Ride)

1M after dinner with my son in 9:30...gotta keep him running.  He did great, we were talking the whole time and he sprinted to the finish.

Hey thanks for the comment and Congrats to you on winning Masters and Age Group in the marathon! Amazing Time!!! Utah Valley is a great run I decided!

So sorry to hear about the loss of a friend, hoping all is well with you . . .and their family.

Your miles are high for a "recovery" week - - - great job! I'm feeling like a slacker - - just need a little break!

Great running Jeff, its hard to keep motivated after racing a Marathon but its all worth it in the end think of the coming marathons and halves. :-)
