Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy stress.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Support my wife's endeavor to do long distance road biking and her renewed interest in running! Keep biking more with her as cross training maybe do a Century ride.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;
answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

Wow, the nicest morning yet...55 degrees and no wind, just beautiful.  5M easy early (4am) as I head to the site today (every Wednesday) so I had to cut it short.  Will get a 5M in at lunch on the desert trails.

total time: 37:30  (Trigon 2 - 12 miles)

6.5M after work today on a windy but warm afternoon.  Couldn't get a lunch run in today due to meetings and driving schedule, so I went right after I got home as the family were all gone to friends houses.  Nice run, did not push just ran easy at about a 6:40ish pace.

total time:  43:30  (Trigon 2 - 19 miles)

Sounds like a nice day. I have seen a lot of traffic on the blog about a relay this weekend. How far is it and how many legs do you run? I ran one last year and it was a lot of fun even though we were not competitive. Hope everything goes well.

We are running the Wasatch Back Relay, a 180 mile 12 person relay from Logan, UT to Park City, UT. Crazy race, go check in out at and look at the Utah race.

It is a crazy race. There are some tough hill legs. Who is the lucky one that gets to run straight up a hill?

From Sasha Pachev on Wed, Jun 18, 2008 at 18:14:04

Are you talking about leg 34 (Ragnar)? Seth Wold on the White team. They time that and he holds the all-time record on that leg. Do not remember who is doing it on the Blue team. Originally it was going to be Hayden, but we moved him to the White team to replace Steve Ashbaker who had a scheduling conflict. The White team is loaded, but so is BYU. The rumor has it we might be racing their entire traveling squad. They have never been able to do that in the past, though, so we'll see.
