Standard early morning run this morning, 7.5M in chilly weather (40 degrees) so I wore long sleeves, gloves and a light vest.  Overall a decent early run at around a 7:45ish pace.  Will try to get 7-8M at lunch today pending no stomach issues today!

Stratos 2 - 106 miles

10.15M on a beautiful day at lunch.  Nice and easy conversational paced run (7:07) with my buddy Pat, where talked all kinds of things from business travel to collegiate runners.  Overall a really nice run, except my intestinal issues were gurgling from mile 4 on, never enough to stop but enough to feel it.  I wonder if my bowl of cereal every morning and the milk associated with it is now not agreeing with me?

Did you change your breakfast?

From jtshad on Sep 05, 2008 at 15:12:52

Nope, pretty much the standard big bowl of cereal and coffee. It hit mostly in the morning to early afternoon. Even my lunch/dinner choices are pretty normal (with 2 kids, you only have so many options they will eat!).

Nice run! Hope you get the intestinal issues straighten out. Trying some different things might be a way to figure it out. Also, sometimes these things just disappear as quickly as they start so hopefully that will be the case.

Looks like you are still running well. I am doing St. George again. Are you doing Twin Cities?

From jtshad on Sep 08, 2008 at 09:51:45

James, yep I am running TCM on Oct. 5 and am rooming with Logan while we are there. Hope to snag a top 10 spot in the Master's championship race and am targeting a 2:35.

What are you shooting for at SGM? Running with the 2:30 group?
