Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

4:30am...6 with Moxie.  Already a crappy day.  (Ride 3 2015)

Beautiful day at lunch for a run.  Needed to work of stress and try to run a bit harder.  1 mile easy, 2 miles picking up the pace (6:47, 6:44).  Experienced a bad side stitch at the end of mile 3, so took an easy mile to get rid of it then 2 more faster miles (6:40, 6:25).  1 easier cooldown for 7 miles in 48:30.  Still pretty pathetic for the pace but at least got it done.  (Mirage Red)

5am...it was raining when I first got up to run and my back was stiff.  It stopped raining so I decided to go out for a short slow run to get Moxie a run.  Try to run later (lunch or after work with kids).  (Boost)

4 miles in 27:15 on a nice day on the desert.  (Mirage Red)

Skipped my early run as I had to be in at work early (6am) for a conference call.  Get in the runs later.  Plus, it was really windy this morning, not missing much.

8.5 miles in an easy 1:03.  From the office to SRL and around the lake and back on a great day for a run..temp perfect with a bit of a breeze.  Kept the the pace fairly even, some intervals at 6:30 or better thrown in.  (Mirage Red)

It was pouring rain when I got up to run this morning, so I held off and went later.  I helped get the kids ready for school, had breakfast with a friend then went out for a run at 9:15.  Solo through SRL and around the greenbelt at a good pace. 7 miles in 45:30ish!  Felt great and easy, no aches or pains.  (Boost)

A steady rain and cold this morning, so I skipped the run and my family and I went to the gym in the mid morning for a weight workout.

We went to a movie during the rainy part of the day and I was going to run in the afternoon/evening after the rain stopped, but instead worked to clear out the garden area with a buddy who came over to help.  3 hours of work and still more to go tomorrow!

A bit tired and ready for some food and a beer!
