Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de stress.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Support my wife's endeavor to do long distance road biking and her renewed interest in running! Keep biking more with her as cross training maybe do a Century ride.

Personal:

Born in 1968.  I live in Idaho Falls, ID.  I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired.

Married for 25+ years with two children (19 and 16).

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;
answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

Tempo workout at lunch...90 degrees outside and full sun!  Started good, nice in the middle, no mojo for tempo at the end.  10K in 40:27 (6:31 AP).  6:17, 6:21, 6:03, 6:33, 6:31, 7:05.  Still sweating after an ice cold shower and 20 minutes later.  (Mirage Red)

4:30am...6 easy miles with Moxie on a warm morning.  Tired.  (Ride 3 2015)

6 miles at lunch in 40:15 (6:42 AP, VERY easy MP).  Felt much easier than yesterday.  Though 85 degrees, it felt much better than the temps on Monday.  Please with how this went with little real effort.  (Mirage Red)

3 miles with Kami and Katelyn after dinner on a cooler evening.

4 miles with DanS on the desert at lunch...hot!   (Mirage Red)

5 miles with Justin and Isaac from home to Community Park, a few loops and back.  They ran some tempo, I ran easy.  (Fastwitch 6)

Good to run with Curt again and catch up a bit, been too long.  Stopped by the house to say goodbye to Kami before her 70 mile ride this morning then took Moxie out for 4 miles.  10 easy miles total...now to see if my legs are ready for the 5K tomorrow.  (Ride 3 2015)

We ran the FireKracker 5k race as a family team and got second team overall.  For me, pretty crappy race.  Overall 7th (2nd 30 and over) ...mostly young faster guys in front of me.  Had a plan to run slower first mile (5:30ish) then stay steady..did not happen.  Pretty slow 5:50ish for the rest, caught in no man's land with no desire to push.  So is the state of my speed training right now.  Justin's calf popped again, Katelyn ran strong but her legs were hurting and Kami ran 29 minutes the day after a 76 mike bike ride!  Fun to run as a family, see good friends and enjoy the weather. (Fastwitch)

Happy Independence Day!

2 miles later in the day.  Ate horribly but had fun with friends and family.
