Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

7 easy miles with Moxie along Sunnyside on a cool morning.  (Launch 2)

Looking to fulfill my mid life crisis idea today...did it!  Now a proud owner of a 2010 Camaro SS!  Wow, what a fun car to drive!  As friend of mine put it (who has a Challenger R/T)...if this is a crisis, you should try it because it is great!

4:15am...7 miles with Moxie along Sunnyside.  (Ride 3 2015)

No second run today.  Dealing with a sick child and then after work it was just too smoky to want to run outside.

4:15am...4.25 miles with Moxie before heading over to the track to help serve breakfast to the XC team at the end of their 18 hour relay fundraiser. (Ride 3 2015)

Tempo run at lunch.  Air was so thick with smoke that I could nearly chew on it...made this one a bit tough.  1 mile wu, 5 mile tempo:  6:57, 6:23, 6:29, 6:17, 6:14, 6:12.  This smoke is making it hard to want to be outside.  (Mirage Red)

I slept in, had a cup of cofee and read the paper before heading out at 7am for a run.  5 miles along Sunnyside with Moxie.  Dropped her off then drove to the river to run with Kami and get Justin to XC practice.

4 mile loop with Kami, fun to run with her.  Then hung around with the guys from Bill's and the kids and ran with them for part of their XC practice.  Picked up the pace with theh top boys then ran home.  5 more miles.  Daily total of 14 miles for a good start to the weekend.  (Fastwitch 6)

6am...met Lynette, Craig, Jeremy and Andrea for a run.  Rex was going to join us but wisely decided not to run...the air quality here is horrible (Hazardous according to the IDEQ website right now!).  Smoke is very thick and can see. smell, taste it.  We ran down Sunnyside to Hitt to John Adams and Boulevard back to the start.  11 miles and it was too much.

I was going to a small 10k that i provided PowerBar chews for...but I have a headache, scratchy throat and a cough...smell like I have been in a smoker's room at the airport!  Not going back out in this to run hard.  Uck!  Worst I have ever seen it here.   (Launch 2)
