Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

4:45am...5 slow hard miles with Moxie. Feeling old...left leg really twingy today.  (Ride 3 2015)

Very nice day at lunch, too bad I was feeling so bad.  Started off with DanS and feeling ok, even picked it up a bit in the first 2 miles before he headed back.  Mile 3 was great, then I started to feel sick to my stomach.  Last couple of miles were tough.  7 miles in 51:33, still feeling queasy...dang cold.  (Mirage Red)

I slept in and went out for a run after a morning full of church stuff (coffee with high school kids, breakfast with the Pastor, Admin stuff at church).  Nice morning...sunny and great temps.  4 miles with Moxie along Sunnyside then dropped her off and said Hi to Kami before back out for 6 more into SRL and back.  10 miles in 1:12, about half under 7:00 pace, half over.  Head cold still here, but not nearly as bad today. (Fastwitch 6)

I really wanted to get in a long run (20 miles) today to try and see where i am for COT...this head cold changed that plan.  Woke up feeling like crap and it just kept getting worse all day.  Around 8:30 Justin, Katelyn and I went out to try to get in something easy...Justin and I cut it short as we are both sick.  (Launch 2)

Spent lot of the day in bed...even trying to pick plums in the back yard sucked.  Want this to be over.  Maybe tomorrow...or sometime next week...
