Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

Slept really fitfully and was up early then feel back asleep until just before church.  Went out after church in beautiful weather, through SRL and back then in the neighborhood for 10 miles.   Had pretty sour stomach and lower back was barking today, I think the back is stress related. 5 miles on a beautiful day at lunch. Trying to burn off stress. (Fastwitch White)

Verse I need to keep in mind this week with stresses:

Colossians 3:12-13 New Living Translation (NLT)

12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

Just could not get up and out the door this morning.  5 miles on a cooler and windy day at lunch before the weather really turns. While I was running the sun was out for most of the time, just after getting back to my desk the SNOW started, sigh.  (Guide Blue)

17 degrees this morning, did not feel like going outside or to the gym.  5 miles in cool but sunny and calm weather. (Guide Blue)

4 miles after work with Moxie in nice weather before Men's group, continued efforts to work off stress. (Fastwitch White)

With this run, I have reach 50,000 miles for my lifetime.  This includes years 2000-2004 where I estimated 3,000 based on paper logs, and 47,000 in just under 15 years (>3,130 miles/year average during this period from 2005 to 2019).   Before this period I was primarily a tennis player and weight lifter...big life change (Lots of miles on the tennis court not included in the total above).
