Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

No AM run due to being up until 12:30am picking up the girls from the airport.  I will get a good lunch run in today in the nicer weather.

A beautiful day at lunch...45 degrees and bright sunshine...all the snow is gone!!! 6.6 miles in 50 minutes.  2.5 miles with Dan S., then another 3.5 miles with Pat B. talking about training/burnout/breaks for us older runners. Our conversation reinforced my current plan to run easy and for fun for a while. My left leg was very tight/sore as my hammy just didn't want to play nice so I just ran very easy and to enjoy the weather and the company.  A good day of running.

No early morning run today for several reasons:  1) Left hammy yelling at me, 2) 40 mph winds outside (even though it is warmish at 40 degrees), 3) Tired and the bed felt nice!, 4) Just didn't feel like it!    I will see if I go out at lunch depending on work, weather and how I feel.

6.25 miles at lunch in 47:45 on a decent running day.  Cool but not bad, mostly calm winds and mostly cloudy...not bad.  Left hammy still singing to me, so this was just an easy run.

6 miles at 4:15am on a warmish (33 degrees) morning.  2 miles solo then 4 more miles with Moxie.  Left hammy still talking to me, but a bit better.  Probably the only run for the day due to work schedule.

4 miles early with Moxie in warm weather.  Left hammy still very tight, so this run was just for getting Moxie out.  I will try for a better run at lunch today.  (Ride Black)

6.05 miles at lunch on a warmish but very windy day.  5 miles with Dan then another loop around the park for a total time of 45:30.  My hammy was still not a happy camper...not an "injury" feeling, but I sure can tell it is there and it doesn't like to move well.   (Ride Red)

I slept in and went out for my run at around 6am with Moxie intending to do about 4 with her and a bit more solo.  Instead, we ran into Curt and McKay and ended up running 6.5 miles with them.  After coming home and getting the kids ready for school, I went back out solo for 3.5 more miles.  Total time for both runs was 1:17:30.  Left hammy is still tight and talking to me...it is getting very annoying as it doesn't outright hurt it just kind of nags all the time.  (Ride Black)
